In a significant move to tackle criminal activity related to criminal activities, the Capital City Police Peshawar launched a special campaign against proclaimed offenders and criminals, resulting in the arrest of 1,745 individuals involved in serious crimes.
A cording to a statement, the arrested suspects and criminals were found to be involved in a range of offenses, including murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, and more. Notably, modern automatic weapons were recovered from the possession of many of the arrested individuals.
The campaign, which ran from October 19, 2024, to November 10, 2024, was initiated under the special instructions of CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan.
During the 21-day crackdown, the Cantt Division Police took the lead with 365 arrests, earning them the top position in the campaign.
The Faqirabad Division Police followed with 212 arrests, securing second place, while the City Division Police ranked third with 192 arrests.
In recognition of their outstanding contributions, SP Cantt Division Aitzaz Arif, SP Faqirabad Division Syed Talal Ahmad Shah, and SP City Division Ehsan Shah were acknowledged for their performance.
Additionally, several officers and SHOs were awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation for their exemplary performance. These officers include SDPO Faqirabad Imran Aslam Marwat, Acting SDP Osarband Umar Afridi, SDPO Town Akhtar Hussain, SDPO Budhaber Zafar Khan, SHO Pahari Pura Javed Marwat, SHO Chamkani Muhammad Ashfaq Khan, SHO Shahpur Tariq Khan.
CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan expressed satisfaction with the progress of the campaign and reiterated his commitment to continuing operations against criminals and drug dealers in the region.
