PESHAWAR: Chief Capital City Police Officer Syed Ashfaq Anwar organized an online open court for the first time to raise awareness of public issues and complaints, including street crimes, drug peddling, social and community issues, and traffic problems, as well as to address direct complaints related to the police. During the online Kachehri held at the CCPO office in the police line, dozens of citizens informed the CCPO about police complaints, suggestions, crime detection, and police behavior through telephones and social media. The CCPO took note of the online complaints and issues from the citizens and assured them of issuing immediate resolution orders to the concerned police officers and promptly addressing the suggestions. It should be noted that most citizens in the “Khulli Kachehri” pointed out traffic problems, drugs, street crimes, and other collective issues, upon which CCPO syed Ashfaq Anwar issued orders to the relevant officers and called for immediate reports. The citizens were assured that the complaints and suggestions submitted would be implemented in all cases.

The CCPO mentioned that he wanted to directly listen to public issues and gain awareness from them. The Online Kachehri was held, and this series will continue, which is expected to bring positive results. In response to a question, CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar stated that in addition to the children of police martyrs, the children of serving policemen should receive education. Efforts are underway on a priority basis to further improve the system and enhance their welfare. He added that modern technology is needed to enhance policing, and work is in progress in that regard. He requested the support of the people, stating that Peshawar Police is their own police, and success is not possible without the support of the community.
