PESHAWAR
A meeting of Peshori Caravan Welfare Organization was held at Haji Irshad’s Bethak in Gulbahar on Sunday, chaired by President Prof. Nisar Ahmad. The meeting reviewed the organisation’s one-year action plan and made various decisions.
It was decided to set up an Iftar Dastarkhwan at Lahori Gate Chowk from the first day of Ramadan. The menu for the first 10 days was also presented.
The meeting also decided to meet with the CEO of WSSP to start implementing the “My Neighborhood, My Supervision” project over the next three months. Under this project, supervisors will be appointed to ensure health and cleanliness of streets will be beautified at the organisation’s expense.
The meeting also reviewed a self-employment scheme for educated youth in the city. Financial assistance will be sought from local citizens and overseas from Peshawar for this purpose.
A social media team was also formed, headed by Executive Member Waqar Ahmad, Deputy Director of Tourism to publicize the organisation’s welfare activities.
