LAHORE: The petition against the appointment of retired judges in Election Tribunal (ET) has been fixed for hearing in Lahore High Court (LHC). Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh will hear on October 28 the petition filed by Suleman Akram Raja. Election Commission and Federal government have been made respondents in the petition. The petitioner has requested that election ordinance 2024 related to appointment of retired judges in ET be declared illegal. The appointment of retired judges in ET in Punjab under the ordinance be declared unconstitutional. ONLINE
