LAHORE: Accountability Court (AC) Lahore has sought reply from NAB till January 8 on the petition filed against the confiscation of assets of proclaimed offender Moonis Elahi in alleged corruption in development projects in Gujarat case. The reference regarding alleged corruption in development projects in Gujarat against former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and others came up for hearing before Judge Rana Muhammad Arif of Accountability Court (AC). Former principal secretary Punjab Assembly (PA) Muhammad Khan Bhatti and other accused appeared in the court. NAB filed supplementary reference against new accused Suleman Ahmad during the hearing of the case. The court provided copies of supplementary reference to all accused persons. The court sought reply from NAB on the petition against seizure of assets of Moonis Elahi. Qaisra Elahi mother of accused Moonis Elahi has challenged proceedings against assets, Moonis Elahi has appointed Qaisra Elahi his general attorney. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till January 8. It is pertinent to mention here NAB has filed corruption and transgression of powers reference against Pervaiz Elahi and others. DNA
