PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has accepted the pleas of two Afghan journalists and a citizen for temporary stay in Pakistan besides restraining police and law enforcement agencies from arresting and deporting them. The court has reserved judgment on other petitions. Justice Waqar Ahmad and justice Kamran Hayat of PHC took up for hearing petitions of 8 persons including Afghan journalists Inam Ullah Salehi, Munir Ahmad Hadaf, judge of Afghan Supreme Court and two generals of Milli Urdu Baryalay Sharifi and Abdul Mujib in connection with temporary stay. The counsel told the court the petitioners have given application to seek refuge in different countries. Temporary refuge be given till then. Justice Waqar Ahmad inquired was any recommendatory certificate received from any country. The counsel told the court letters have been received by journalists and Muhammad Navid Omari and others have not received. APP
