PESHAWAR: Petition has been filed in Peshawar High Court (PHC) against upsurge in inflation during the holy month of Ramadan. As per media report, National Food Security, secretary ministry of food, chief secretary and commissioner Peshawar have been made respondents in the petition. The petition said inflation has increased during the holy month of Ramadan. It has become difficult to purchase essential commodities due to price hike. The petitioner prayed the court directive be issued to respective institutions to control prices of essential commodities and eatables. Creating illegal inflation is violation of article 3 of the constitution. The inflation is rising daily due to negligence of administration. APP
