PESHAWAR
The Provincial Inspection Team (PIT) has completed its inquiry against the alleged irregularities in recruitment, promotions and tenders at MTI Hospital Qazi Medical Complex Nowshera.
According to sources, Qazi Medical Complex Nowshera has been causing disrepute to the provincial government due to political interference and mismanagement for the last three years.
During the last three years, five boards of governors of the hospital have been changed and many hospital directors have been removed due to certain issues.
Sources revealed that on the direction of the KP government, the provincial inspection team has conducted a number of inquiries into alleged anomalies in the provincial MTI hospitals.
Sources said PIT has submitted their reports to the provincial government for further actions.
PIT report has pinpointed that during the 2018 to 2020 a large number of recruitments have been made in Qazi Medical Complex against the rules and regulations.
The report mentioned that a number of officers of the hospital have been promoted unlawfully.
Additionally, during the inquiry it has come to the surface that hospital authority committed irregularities in the process of awarding tenders.
It is pertinent to mention here that the MTI Act restrains the provincial government and health department from taking any sort of legal action against the MTI-hospitals.
Two years ago a report pertaining to KTH Hospital was submitted to the provincial government but no action has been taken so far.
