Plan for enhancing the perks and privileges of speaker, deputy speaker and members of KP assembly has been worked out.
As per media reports, bills have been prepared to transfer powers of increasing salary to finance committee of assembly instead of making legislation.
Standing committee for rules and regulations and privileges has prepared report regarding bill.
Report will be sent to law department after its presentation in the assembly.
With the approval of bill the powers for increasing perks and privileges will go to finance committee of assembly.
Finance committee will be able to increase the perks and privileges without legislating in the assembly.
Amendment bills will be got approved from provincial cabinet and assembly. The laws in place will stand cancelled following the passage of new bills.
As per sources finance committee will be able to make decision for enhancing the perks and privileges of speaker, deputy speaker and members of assembly with the announcement for raising the salaries of government employees .
