A petition has been filed before the Lahore Sessions Court seeking the registration of a criminal case against Indian national Sarabjit Kaur for allegedly misusing her visa and violating Pakistani laws.
The application was submitted by the former chairman of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Mahinder Pall Singh, through his lawyer, Advocate Ali Changezi. According to the petition, Kaur entered Pakistan on a religious pilgrimage (yatra) visa but is alleged to have breached the visa conditions.
Singh had previously filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking Kaur’s deportation.
