Islamabad : Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday chaired a review meeting regarding availability of health facilities to the masses.
The meeting was attended by Special assistant to PM on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, SAPM Dr. Shehbaz Gill, Punjab’s Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid and other high level entities.
Participants of meeting were briefed about availability of Health Cards to Punjab and KPK, data of people who hold health cards and relief provided to public as a result of this milestone project.
The meeting was told that 210200 health cards admissions were reported in private and government hospitals of KPK. Around 5.3 billion rupees have been used to provide relief to public through health cards.
Meeting was further told that people have been compensated during cure of 26 different diseases including heart and other expensive cures.
It was told that health card has been provided to 8.5 million families in Punjab.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, while showing satisfaction over the briefings said that Health Card project is the biggest relief program in Pakistan’s health sector.
The Premier said that current government initiated a compact program to compensate addled sectors of society and as a result comprehensive health facilities have been ensured for these segments.
