Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has commended the pace of work of the under-completion of 1180-MW LNG-fueled power plant in Bhikki.
Addressing a function in Bhikki on Wednesday, he appreciated the savings achieved in completion of the project.
He also lauded the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the Chinese team of engineers and other concerned people working on the project.
Nawaz Sharif said that eighty four percent work the Power Plant has been completed which will help overcome energy shortage in the country.
The Prime Minister said several new power projects are in final stages, which after completion will solve the energy shortage issue in the country.
He said that no other government in the past bothered to work on motorways. However, the present government is now working on Lahore Karachi Motorway speedily.
Earlier, Prime Minister visited different parts of the power plant and personally observed the progress on project.
In his address, the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Shrif said that work is being completed speedily at Bhikhi, Haveli Bahadur Shah and Balloki power plant.
He said that the Federal Government extended its full cooperation for timely completion of these power projects. He said that these power plants are exemplary for their speed and transparency.
