PM, Speaker committed high treason, alleges Maryam Aurangzeb

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Spokesperson Maryum Aurangzeb on Monday alleged Prime Minister Imran Khan and National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser of committing high treason for not calling assembly session within the due timelimit after submission of no-confidence motion against the premier.
“14 days have gone passed since the requisition was submitted before the National Assembly. Speaker’s inability to summon the due session is deviation from the constitution” the PML-N spokesperson said.
Maryam said despite the clear interpretation of article 54 of the constitution of Pakistan, Speaker’s inaction was completely ‘unconstitutional’ and disappointing.
She said that Speaker Asad Qaiser would be remembered in the dark chapters of history, adding that the speaker was prioritizing his party’s chairman instead of the constitution.
