PML-N leadership asks Nawaz Sharif not to boycott LB polls

PML-N senior leaders have requested Mian Nawaz Sharif that the party should not boycott Local Bodies (LB) polls as the boycott will provide a walk over to PTI and this way PML-N political position will be affected adversely and the situation will slip out of the hands of PML-N in next elections. .
PML-N senior leadership has linked the matter of resignations from assemblies to PPP members resignations. They have requested Nawaz Sharit to request Maulana Fazlur Rehman to ask Maulana Fazlur Rehman to stage long march after LB polls because if PML-N does not participate in LB polls then it will be white washed from Punjab as political party.
As per sources over more than virtual meetings between Nawaz Sharif and PML-N senior leaders have taken place so far wherein Maulana Fazlur Rehman conditions have been reviewed in details. .
On the other hand are opposed to participation of PML-N and component parties to take part in the LB polls as he is of the view that pressure should be mounted on government to hold general elections rather than participating in the LB polls. Therefore, Long March is must.
Sources said PML-NJ is not willing to resign from the assemblies if PPP members donot resign from the assemblies
PML-N is of the view if PML-N members resign then Bilwal Bhutto will become opposition leader and PML-N will suffer political loss tremendously. If resignations have to be given then Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Shahbaz Sharif should persuade PPP to give resignation.
Source said Nawaz Sharif will present party proposals in PDM heads of allied parties meeting while PML-N could not take decision in connection with public meeting at Lahore.
Sources disclosed that if PDM does not agree with Nawaz Sharif proposals then PML-N can part ways with PDM .
The consultation meeting were attended by Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shahbaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ayyaz Sadiq , Saad Rafiq, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rashid, Maryam Aurangzeb, Miftah Ismail, Rana Sana Ullah and others.
