The police have arrested a drug addict who shot dead his son after an exchange of harsh words in Rahimabad, Matani area on the outskirts of the district on Monday.
According to Police statement the drug addict Muhammad Zaman became annoyed after exchanging some hot words with son, Tahir Zaman over use of drugs and shot him dead in the house. Police said the accused was making an attempt to escape the house however during the in time action by the police he was arrested.
SHO Matani, Ejaz Nabi said the accused has confessed to the killing of his son and the weapon of crime was also revered from his possession.
Police have lodged an FIR on the report of the mother of the victim, Tahir Zaman and started further investigations.
