Pharipura Police onFriday claimed to have arrested two dangerous gangs involved in differentstreet crimes including robbers, dacoits, lifting motorcycle and theft.
SHO Pharipura Police Station BilalHussain told reporters that the arrest was made during different successfuloperations.He said that the arrestedpersons have been identified as Bilal, Sajid, Adnan, Irfan, Musa and Munir. Policehave recovered six motorcycles, parts of the 13 motorcycles, and 27 valuablemobile phones from the possessions of the arrested accused.
Police during the preliminaryinvestigation revealed the arrested persons were part of the two gangs andinvolved in robberies, motorcycle snatching, lifting and other serious crimes.Police added that among thearrested suspects are those from the neighboring country of Afghanistan.
Theaccused are also involved in smuggling stolen mobile phones to Afghanistan. During the initialinvestigation, the accused revealed the names of other associates of the gangwhile disclosing robbery, motorcycle snatching, lifting and other seriousincidents.Weapons used in variousincidents, three pistols with cartridges were also recovered from the accused.
Theoriginal owners of stolen and stolen mobile phones and motorcycles were tracedand handed over their mobile phones and motorcycles. Important revelations areexpected from the arrested accused during the investigation, police said.
