The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Tahir Khan on Thursday directed the police take action against the carjackers and other anti-social elements elsewhere in the province. The officials also directed the police to launch a drive against festive and celebrative firings as well.
He issued the directives while chairing a high level meeting held here. Superintendent and senior deputy officers from across the province attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the performance of all circles. Superintendent and senior deputy officers briefed the meeting about the performance of their concerned circles.
The CCPO expressed satisfaction on the performance of the police, saying the incidents of street crimes had been decreased in elsewhere in the province. He also directed the police cooperate with the members of the Dispute Resolution Councils to solve petty public issues at the earliest.
