Police launch action against underage motorcyclists, tinted glasses

Police have launched action against an underaged motorcyclists and tinted glasses to avoid untoward incidents during Eid days. The police also took action against one-wheeling, aerial firing, tinted glasses and removed colorful glasses from dozens of vehicles here.
Under the leadership of SHOs of the City Police, several young drivers and youths who were wheeling were taken to different police stations and their parents were called and asked not to allow their underage children to drive a car or a motorcycle in the future. The police are taking written undertaking from the parents and guardians before releasing the underage bike drives.
In Lower Chitral, action against one wheeling, underaged motorcycles and tinted glasses were also started on the orders of the District Police Officer Lower Chitral, Ikramullah Khan.
The district administration imposed Section 144 in the district for a month under which one-wheeling, aerial firing, exhibition of weapons and use of loudspeakers in public places are banned.
The DPO Lower said the parents should obey the law and never allow their young children to drive a car or a motorcycle, in case of violation, legal action would be taken against them.
Underage bike riders and those without licence have become a public nuisance in both Lower and Upper Chitral.
They also put their own life and those of other at risk. The police launch such campaigns on special occasions including Eid days to avoid untoward incidents.
