Police Martyrs’ Day commemorates in Khyber

Like elsewhere in the country, Police Martyrs’ Day observed to pay tribute to the sacrifices of police officers and personnel who laid down lives for the protection of the country.
In this connection a prestigious gathering was organized at Levies Center,Shahkas,Jamrud last night that was attended by Additional Inspector General Police(AIGP) Muhammad Ali Baba Khel,Sector Commander Brigadier Mansoor Ali Abbasi,Capital City Police Officer(CCPO) Muhammad Ijaz Khan, Member Provincial Assembly(MPAs)Shafiq Afridi ,Shafiq Sher,Miss Baseerat,Director BHA Roshan Mehsud,besides police officials, tribal elders, heirs of the Martyrs’ and people from different part of life participated in it. The officials put floral wreaths on the monument of the Martyrs’ and a smart contingent of police presented a salute to it.
Gifts were also given away to the heirs of the deceased police officials. Addressing on the occasion AIGP Muhammad Ali Baba Khel, CCPO Muhammad Izaj Khan said that durable peace has been restored in the area at precious sacrifices rendered by police and the elders that is pride of nation.
The blood of 106 police officials of Khyber have contributed to safeguard their motherland, they added and said peace in the country is condoned to calm in the district.
We are proud of our Martyrs’ who ensured our safety by shedding their precious blood in the line of duty, they remarked.
They assured that the Martyred package will be granted to the deceased police officials of merged tribal districts being enjoyed by police in down towns.
The entire nation is in debt to the Martyrs ‘and their sacrifice will be remembered in golden words in history, they added.
At the end the AIGP praised the organizer for setting up an impressive moot in the memory of late police officials.
