Unknown militants attack on the Ziyaray police checkpost in Landikotal in the wee hours of Wednesday night with machin guns and rocket launchers,however no casualty happened, police said on Thursday.
Police said as the attack was launched by terrorists they retaliated with heavy guns. Frontier corps personnel deployed at nearby hills top also backed the police party and repulsed the attack.
The boundary wall and rooms of the checkpost partially damaged in the attack, however no casualties were reported.
Additionally, official sources confirmed that a shell also landed near the under-construction Rescue 1122 center adjacent to the Hamza Baba shrine.
