RAHIM YAR KHAN: In a targeted intelligence-based operation, Punjab Police successfully rescued a kidnapped individual from the Kacha area of Paka Chandia, Rahim Yar Khan. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the operation was carried out while the kidnappers were transferring the victim to a different location. The abductee, identified as Mashooq, had been kidnapped five days ago while returning from a local sugar mill in the Kot Sabzal area. The police launched the operation after filing an abduction case, and after an intense exchange of gunfire, the kidnappers abandoned the victim and fled into nearby sugarcane fields. The search operation to apprehend the culprits is ongoing. The rescue mission was led by the in-charge of the CIA Sadiqabad, SHO Bhong, and involved a heavy deployment of Elite Force personnel along with armored vehicles. News Agency
