Police claimed to have solved the mystery surrounding the alleged murder of a citizen, Syed Jahangir Shah, who was killed on Ring Road last week.
According to a police statement, the investigation revealed that the wife of the deceased, along with her acquaintance, was responsible for her husband’s murder.
Following the instructions of SP City Division Khalid Khan and under the supervision of DSP Yakh Tot Circle Sher Afzal Khan, SHO Police Station Agha Mir Jani Shah Ijaz Khan, along with the Ladies Police and investigation officers, conducted a crucial operation, leading to the unraveling of the case.
Taking strict notice of the case, SP City Division Khalid Khan formed a special team, led by SHO Ijaz Khan and investigation officers, under the supervision of DSP Sher Afzal Khan, to trace and apprehend the culprits involved.
The special team conducted a thorough investigation using modern scientific methods and technical resources, including questioning several suspicious individuals. Close relatives and friends of the deceased, including his family members, were also questioned. During the investigation, discrepancies in the statements of Syed Jahangir Shah’s wife raised suspicions, prompting further interrogation.
The wife eventually confessed to the crime, revealing that she, along with an acquaintance, had conspired to murder her husband. The initial investigation suggested that the motive behind the crime was linked to the wife’s relationship with her acquaintance. Further inquiries are ongoing, and the female accused has been transferred to the Women’s Police Station for additional investigation.
