Police to bring DG Nab Lahore to PAC: Noor Alim

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has decided to order police to bring DG Nab Lahore and interim Chairman before committee, if he does not appears before the committee on Wednesday.
It has emerged during PAC meeting on Tuesday as the committee summons DG on Wednesday.
Chairman PAC Noor Alim Khan told that the interim Chairman and DG Nab Lahore has challenged the PAC rights in Islamabad High Court and ask court to cancel PAC recommendation of 24 June.
The PAC Chairman termed this action as contempt of parliament.
Talking to the media chairman said it is clear in the article-66 and 69 says clear that PAC can ask for documents from any department.
According to services rules all department has to submit their assets to establishment division or law ministry and Nab is a civil institution not military, he went on, whether it’s Nab or FIA, all the employees has to declare their assets.
He maintained that, Nab has challenged it in court, I want to ask courts that they want to stop corruption or not.
He questioned that how the jurisdiction (given to committee in 1973 constitution) could be challenged?
He said they have misused the power and did wrong with our mothers and sister, now how can we spare them?
