ISLAMABAD(INP): Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that ‘politics of references’ is not in favour of country as it could lead to political instability.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Tuesday, he said that reference against the prime minister will be of no use except it would stir political instability and further widening the differences among the political parties.
He said both the government and opposition are doing the politics of filing references against each others, adding this useless practice will intensify the crises which need to be avoided in the larger interest of the country and its people.
The JUI-F chief alleged that establishment was backing several outfits. He added Implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit was vital to get rid of the militancy.
He warned that it will not be in favour of country if NAP was used for political gains and will be helpful only if it is utilized to eradicate terrorism and restoration of peace.
He lamented over inconsistency in US’s policies, reminding that when Afghan people took up arms against the Soviet Union invasion, they were called ‘Mujahideen’ and Pakistan welcoming them and opened its doors for them.
Now when Afghan people stood against Pakistan for its support to US led war in Afghanistan, Pakistan had to take arms against those Afghans, he said adding that this inconsistency claimed thousands of precious lives.
