PESHAWAR
The provincial cabinet of Pakistan People Party (PPP) held an important meeting on Saturday to discuss the party’s preparations for celebrating the party’s foundation day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PPP would celebrate 55th Foundation Day on November 30 across the country.
According to a statement issued by the provincial secretary information Amjad Khan Afridi, the meeting of the provincial cabinet was chaired by Special Assistant to Prime Minister Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha.
The provincial general secretary PPP Shuja Salim Khan, information secretary Amjad Khan Afridi, senator Rubina Khalid, Syed Ayub Shah and others attended the meeting.
He added that the forum has decided that the party’s 55th anniversary would be celebrated with great enthusiasm and great deification.
In the meeting, important decisions were taken regarding preparations and organizational matters of PPP in the province and preparation of different programs on the party’s foundation day in KP.
The office bearers of all divisions, districts and sub-organizations were instructed to initiate preparations for the day.
He said that party workers would organize programs in the province on divisional and district level. Districts and divisions level organizations were instructed to present their reports before the provincial cabinet about their preparations on foundation day.
The provincial secretary information Amjad Khan Afridi in a statement informed that PPP has always rendered sacrifices for the restoration of democracy in the country, adding that workers would be mobilized to celebrate party’ foundation day with enthusiasm.
He also criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan for failing to stage an unsuccessful long march.
Amjad Afridi maintained that PPP has always served the nation with positive intentions, adding those who deceive people with slogans of change could not compete with its party in the province. “PPP has rendered unmatched and unforgettable sacrifices for the survival of democracy in the country,” he added.
