PRBC hosts Sri Lankan envoy to advance trilateral trade with Romania

The Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) on Wednesday hosted P. K. Sanjeewa Pattiwila, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Karachi, to explore avenues for strengthening trilateral trade cooperation among Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Romania.
The meeting, held at PRBC headquarters, was attended by Chairman Sohail Shamim Firpo and Advisor & Chief Operating Officer Atif Farooqi, as part of ongoing efforts to deepen economic engagement across the three countries, said a press release.
The discussions focused on enhancing trade facilitation, boosting investment flows, and fostering partnerships in insurance and healthcare sectors. Akmal Sultan, PRBC Regional Lead – Health, also participated, highlighting opportunities for sectoral collaboration.
Speaking on the occasion, Farooqi stated, “We deeply value the Consul General’s steadfast commitment to regional economic synergy. PRBC remains fully dedicated to bridging Pakistan, Romania, and Sri Lanka through innovative multi-nation partnerships that drive sustainable growth and shared prosperity.”
Both sides expressed optimism over translating dialogue into concrete initiatives, particularly in advancing trilateral ventures and expanding business-to-business linkages among stakeholders in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Romania.
