An important meeting held here on Saturday with the Commissioner Malakand Division Shaukat Ali Yousafzai in the chair, reviewed preparations for the upcoming anti-polio campaign in the division.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sajjad Khan, Polio Coordinator Dr Khawaja Irfan, officials of the different administrations and health attended the meeting.
Polio Coordinator Dr Khawaja Irfan on this occasion briefed the forum about the steps so far taken for the upcoming anti-polio campaign in the division.
The forum reviewed logistics, teams’ formation and security arrangements for the polio vaccinators during the campaign.
Shaukat Ali Yousafzai directed concerned district administration officers to provide effective and timely support to the teams deputed to administer polio vaccine to children.
All possible efforts should be made to vaccinate all the children and strict monitoring of this process should be ensured, he added and said that polio virus has to be eradicated at all costs and it is the national duty of all.
Commissioner Malakand Division termed the role of polio teams and parents mandatory in the complete elimination of polio virus from the country.
