With support of local police officials, influential persons have started construction work on the joint property, located in Mukhtar Khel area of Landi Kotal.
Addressing to a crowded press conference held here in Landi Kotal press club on Wednesday residents of Mukhtar Khel including Ismael,Number Khan,Haji Khalil,Shakir Mir,Hamid Khan and others said that in 1972 a disputed had erupted on piece of land between Mukhtar Khel tribe and Shah Jamal group that had between resolved by that time administration with consent of the both party.
Although last day, they added the Shah Jamal family started illegal construction work and they sought a stay order from the court however with assistance of the Station House Officer(SHO)of Landi Kotal police station, building work was still in progress.
They blamed that the local police officials on pretext of solving the quarrel apprehended four of their elders and put them behind the bars.
They demanded the authorities concerned to immediately halt construction work on the disputed land and release their arrested persons otherwise they would initiate set in on Pak-Afghan highway.
