A prize distribution ceremony was held at Traffic Line Peshawar where chief traffic officer Abbas Majeed Marwat distributes certificates of appreciation among the traffic personnel, said a handout.
Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat distributed certificates of appreciation and cash among the personnel for better performance in the provincial capital.
SP Headquarters Rahim Hussain, SP Cantt Atiq Shah, SP City Muhammad Saeed, DSPs and Other traffic officers and officials attended the event.
During the ceremony, Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat appreciated the performance of the City Traffic Police by following the first salam then kalam policy and ensuring the implementation of traffic rules.
He further said that all officers and officials should play their role with full effort to raise awareness about traffic flow and road safety among the citizens.
CTO Abbas Majeed said that the process of accountability will continue in Peshawar.
Those who show better performance will be encouraged, while disciplinary action will be taken against those who are negligent, he added.
Abbas Majeed said that like the operational staff of City Traffic Police Peshawar, the performance of the office staff will also be checked and the better performance will be appreciated.
He directed the traffic officials and officials to continue the uninterrupted operation against those who park vehicles in the no-parking-zones.
