A prize distribution ceremony was held at police traffic lines here on Tuesday in which Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shahzada Omar Abbas Babar distributed prizes among the traffic police for showing outstanding performance.
SP Headquarters Inayat Ali, SP City Muhammad Saeed, DSPs and other traffic officers and officials attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, CTO Umar Abbas Babar lauded the performance of the traffic police and said that the officers and officials of City Traffic Police Peshawar performed their duties by following the policy of first salam then kalam and ensuring the implementation of traffic rules.
He said that all the officers and officials should play their role with full effort to raise the awareness of traffic flow and road safety among the citizens.
Traffic police chief maintained that the process of accountability would be continued in the traffic police, adding that those who show better performance will be encouraged.
He directed the traffic officials and officials to continue the uninterrupted operations against those who park vehicles in the no parking zones in the city and encroachment mafia and that no one should be lenient.
He said that departmental action will be taken against those who show negligence.
