PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labor Fazal Shakoor Khan said on Monday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will soon launch a project aimed at reducing flood losses.
He asked the Federal Government to increase the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa share in flood relief fund as the province is much affected by the flood as compared to other provinces.
The Provincial Minister said this during a visit to different areas of union council Tarnab, District Charsadda adjacent to River Khayali. He said that through early precautions and arrangements, precious lives could be saved and flood caused losses be reduced.
He appealed to people residing nearby rivers to take safety precautions, adding that we have to take tangible steps to protect ourselves from floods and other natural calamities.
