Provincial Chairman of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao on Wednesday criticised the PTI-led provincial government, saying its protest-oriented politics had caused immense damage to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and left the public dissatisfied.
Addressing party workers and officials of PK-64 constituency at Charsadda Utmanzai, in connection with preparations for the anniversary of former KP Governor Shaheed Hayat Muhammad Khan Sherpao, he alleged the province was currently grappling with corruption, nepotism, and administrative inefficiency.
“Economic conditions are deteriorating day by day, and people are deprived of basic facilities due to poor governance,” he said.
Sherpao highlighted critical shortcomings in education and health, claiming that despite official claims of emergency measures in these sectors, schools remain in disrepair and hospitals lack basic facilities, forcing poor citizens to endure severe hardships.
He added that promises made by the current government to improve public service have largely gone unfulfilled.
The QWP leader also criticised the provincial government for undermining local government representatives by depriving them of resources, which he said has hindered grassroots service delivery.
He called for empowering local bodies to address public problems instead of pursuing political showmanship.
Reaffirming his party’s commitment, Sherpao said the QWP will continue its struggle for peace, transparency, and people-friendly policies in the province, vowing to prevent further disappointment among the citizens of KP.
