MARDAN
Like other parts of the country different political and religious parties staged protest rallies throughout the district against the recent desecration of the Quran in Sweden.
Tehreek-e- Labbaik Pakistan staged protest rally led by district Ameer Fazl-e-Wahid Qadri, Tehsil Mardan Ameer Mufti Muhammad Qasim, Tehsil Takhatbhai Ameer Mufti Naseer-ud-Din, Tehsil Katlang Ameer Mufti Fazl-e-Raza, Tehsil Garhi Kapura Ameer Mufti Rahatullah and other. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) staged a protest rally outside Mardan press club.
Rally was led by Riaz Pandakhel advocate and other leaders. Large numbers of PTI activists attended the protest rally. Pash Imams of different mosques of the Gulibagh area also staged protest rallies outside the Mardan press club. Large numbers of people attended the protest rally.
The participants of the rallies carried placards and banners displaying slogans denouncing the Swedish government for its irresponsible support of individuals who promote anti-Islam and anti-Muslim sentiments.
The participants also demanded the government to immediately deport the Sweden ambassador and also called back the Pakistani ambassador from Sweden. Later on the participants of the rallies dispersed peacefully.
