PESHAWAR
The Provincial Election Commissioner Muhammad Raziq on Thursday called on Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Dr Shehzad Khan Bangash at his office and discussed preparation about by-elections and second round of local government elections in the province.
It is to note here that the second phase of local body elections including re-polling at various polling stations will be held on 13th February, 2022 in KP. The CS-KP and provincial election commissioner agreed to hold peaceful elections in the province.
Due to death of several candidates, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced re-polling on general seat in Village Council Kot Issa Khan, Village Council Ratha Kalachi Labor, Farmers, General seat in Neighborhood Council Kot Ismailzai of Mardan, Neighborhood Council Bagh Iram III Minority seat, General seat in Village Council Sur Kamar of Charsadda in Lakki Marwat.
General seats in Village Council Mir Azam Machin Khel, Neighborhood Council III, Labor and Farmers in Village Council Nawa in Bajaur and General seats in Neighborhood Council 15 Tapi in Kohat fill vacant due to the death of a candidate.
The Provincial Election Commissioner, KP has stressed on the need to make proper arrangements for holding these elections in a transparent and peaceful manner. The provincial election commissioner Muhammad Raziq appreciates Chief Secretary full cooperation for holding fear and transfer election in the province.
