Islamabad capital Police Shahzad Town police teams apprehended 32 criminals during the last two weeks and recovered three vehicles, two motor bikes, hashish, liquor and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, special tasks were assigned to all police officials to ensure the arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconders involved in heinous crimes.
Following these directives, the Shahzad Town police teams used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending 32 accused during the last two week.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad appreciated the police team’s efforts and directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in car and bike lifting incidents.
The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained. He said that the safety of lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
