ISLAMABAD: The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday closed on a negative note, falling by 419.92 points, a decline of 0.25 percent, to settle at 167,642.28 points compared to 168,062.19 points on the previous trading day, according to PSX data. During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 775.53 million shares with a traded value of Rs37.49 billion, down from 735.52 million shares valuing Rs46.18 billion in the previous session. Market capitalization slightly decreased to Rs19.031 trillion from Rs19.032 trillion. Out of 479 active companies in the ready market, 182 closed higher, 254 declined, while 43 remained unchanged.
