Acting Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad has said in Islamabad High Court (IHC) that PTI can hold public meeting after Chehlum.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamir Farooq remarked the court has issued ordered earlier too. The way matter is running it is not permanent solution. I issue directives to chief commissioner that he should meet them. He should call them, make consultation and find out permanent solution to the issue. 40000 to 50000 people will come in the public meeting.
It makes no difference. Public meeting will be held. Speeches will be delivered. Nothing will occur due to it. Understand it. If some one delivers wrong speech and violation of NOC is committed then you can hold them responsible.
The CJ IHC gave these remarks during hearing of petition filed by PTI leader Aamir Mughal against Chief commissioner Islamabad notification regarding suspension of NOC of PTI public meeting.
Shoaib Shaheen advocate said give us permission to hold public meeting on July 27.
The CJ IHC Aamir Farooq inquired matter of public meeting is running since February . What is problem in it. DC gave permission and Chief Commissioner cancelled it. What do they want to do.
The acting DC appeared in the court and told chief commissioner has suspended the NOC of the public meeting and he has not cancelled it. The permission can be given after 40 Muharram. The citizens filed complaints that they will face difficulties in their movement.
The CJ IHC Aamir Farooq said to DC “ give permission at some open place. If security situation had arisen then call them and tell them. After Chehlum you will say flood came. Weather has become cold. The matter of Muharram 10 is comprehensible . Chehlum is far off.
The CJ IHC remarked the court issued order earlier too. What is running is not not a permanent solution.
DC said we have to move under a system.
The CJ IHC remarked I know system. I am too product of this system. I did not land here directly from England.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till July 15.
