Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Provincial Secretary Information and Provincial Spokesperson MPA Zahir Shah Turo has alleged Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for having observed a pin drop silence over the fate of deviant members of the party in the National Assembly.
PTI has sent a reference to ECP related to its party deviant members but no response has been given, he added.
“Silence in this regard has made it clear that the Election Commission has not working as neutral body ,” Zahir Shah said.
The provincial spokesperson of PTI said that on the call of PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, protests would be staged across the country in front of ECP offices on Tuesday (today).
Zahir Shah Turo while talking to media said that there was no legal impediment in disqualification of those lawmakers who had defected from the party but delaying tactics were being used to save them.
Instead of making decisions according to law, there will be demonstrations in front of ECP offices in KP today as well as across the country.
In this regard, there will be demonstrations in front of Election Commission office in Peshawar,he added and said that the participation of millions in the historic meetings of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Peshawar, Karachi and Lahore has made it clear that the people have sided with Imran Khan by rejecting the US conspiracy.
Imran Khan, who will soon be the next Prime Minister, sacrificed his power by standing firm against the US intervention but did not accept the external intervention.
MPA Zahir Shah said that these historic rallies have deprived the opponents of sleep and the opposition will not be allowed to run away from the elections and soon the lives of the people will be spared from the imported government.
PTI has announced demonstrations outside the commission’s district offices across the country on April 26 “against biased attitude of the chief election commissioner (CEC)”.
