LAHORE: As many as 22 recent postings in Punjab Police are in question as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Wednesday urged Lahore High Court to stop the process relating to all these postings on the grounds that these officers may have influence in the forthcoming general election in Punjab. Filing the petition, PTI leader and former Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry made Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Punjab Chief Secretary and others respondents in the case. He urged the LHC’s directives for the ECP action against a total of 22 police officers recently notified posting in Punjab prior to forthcoming general election in the province. The petitioner expressed severe reservations over the posting of 22 police officers in Punjab before the election. It pleaded with the court to hold back the administration from posting these 22 police officers as these officers might influence the election results. The petitioner prayed the LHC to issue an order in this regard to the ECP. TLTP
