Section-144
KOHAT: For the peaceful conduct of re-polling for the general election 2024, on February 15th, Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Dr. Uzmatullah Wazir on Wednesday imposed Section 144 in the tribal sub-division Dara Kohat. According to the order, pillion riding and the display of all types of weapons, including licensed weapons, except for law enforcement officers on duty, has been banned immediately for a period of 5 days. Action will be taken against those violating the said order under Section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code. The Deputy Commissioner has also declared a public holiday in Dara Adamkhel including Jawaki on 15 February in view of re-polling in PK-90. Deputy Commissioner Kohat issued a formal notification in this regard saying that all private and public offices and institutions in Dara Adam Khel including Jawaki will remain closed on February 15, while the offices and staff of those departments, performing duties in elections will be exempted from this order.
