Public servants play key role in national progress, says DG NIPA

“Public servants are the change agents in the lives of the people. National progress and prosperity is contingent upon the decisions and role of public servants.”
These views were expressed by Director General NIPA/PPSA/PARD Peshawar Capt. (Retd.) Usman Gul while addressing graduating officers on the eve of graduation ceremony of the 36th Senior Management Course here at NIPA Peshawar in which 31 officers from different occupational groups/services of the Federal & Provincial Governments participated.
The ceremony was attended by chief Instructors, faculty and administrative and support staff of the three premier training institutes and 31 graduating officers of the 36th SMC.
The Director General highlighted that NIPA Peshawar under the umbrella support and guidance of the Rector NSPP Dr. Ijaz Munir, imparted the best possible training while aiming to enhance skills, knowledge base and core competencies of the trainee officers in evidence-based decision, public policy analysis, strategic management and ICT interventions.
He added, “Now it is your responsibility to reflect these traits in your respective workplaces to enhance the quality of your decisions and provide better public service to the people.”
He urged them to have friendly interactions with the people so that people come to you with open hearts and think of you as friends.
The Director General while appreciating the efforts of the SMC faculty stated that the dedicated faculty of NIPA Peshawar deserve all commendation for their untiring efforts in making the course a success as reflected by the Course Review Committee’s feedback in which the graduating officers expressed their utmost satisfaction with the quality and impact of the 16-week rigorous training programme.
The Director General lauded the dedication and hard-work of the administration of the three training institutes and extended appreciation to DS Admin Asad Zia Siddiqui who put his utmost potential and services in ameliorating and strengthening the physical and training infrastructure of the entire campus.
The Chief Instructor SMC Mr. Tariq Bakhtiar presented the course report to the Director General and explained the rigorous journey of the training course spanning over 16-weeks.
The Director General awarded course completion certificates to the graduating officers on the occasion.
