ISLAMABAD: Punjab government has sent three names to federal government for chief secretary Punjab. The letter sent in connection with new chief secretary Punjab has been sent by establishment division to Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif. Punjab government has requested the federation to nominate one among the three officers for the slot of chief secretary of Punjab. The three officers panel communicated by Punjab government to federal government include secretary cabinet division Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera grade-22, Babar Hayat Tarar grade-22 and Abdullah Khan Sunmbal grade-21. Sources the powers for appointing any officer against the post of chief secretary Punjab rest with the PM. He can reject the names included in the panel by Punjab government or direct Punjab government to send more names.
