PESHAWAR
The chairman of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has expressed serious concern over the ongoing deteriorating situation of law and order situation in some districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying implementation of National Action Plan should be implemented in letter and spirit for lasting peace across the province.
He made these remarks while addressing a news conference in the party headquarters at Watan Kor in Peshawar here on Saturday.
On this occasion, the nationalist leader and former provincial president of Mazdoor Kisan Party, Shakeel Wahidullah Khan, along with his colleagues, announced the joining of QWP.
Sherpao on this occasion maintained that all political parties of the province should have a unified agenda to maintain long lasting peace in the province, adding those who made sacrifices for peace would be remembered for a long time.
He said that lawlessness and incidents of terrorist attacks in KP were increasing incidents but the provincial government has observed pin drop silence. QWP chairman stated that due to the sheer incompetence and miss-governance, terrorists have regrouped in the province.
“Instead of giving priority to Imran Khan’s long march, the people of the province have been left helpless by the provincial government,” he criticized.
Mr Sherpao alleged that resources of the province should be spent on the people of the province instead of facilitating the political struggle of party chairman Imran Khan.
The QWP leadership will continue to stand firm against the injustices of the provincial government.
Aftab Sherpao said that Imran Khan was suffering from contradictions, adding that time has come to defeat PTI and its chairman’s agenda through by-polls.
