Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) with assistance of district administration compensated families of the two persons who lost their lives in flood flash in previous day of heavy downpour here in Pased Khel and Loy-Shelman villages of subdivision Landi Kotal last day.
On the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Khyber, Assistant Commissioner (AC), Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand flanked by Additional AC Rameez Ali Shah and Tehsil Chairman Haji Shah Khalid visited affected families in Pased Khel and Loy-Shelman and handed over cheques of one million rupees each to heir of late Inzemam Khan and Kausar.
The officials also sympathized with the deceased’s families and offered fatiha for the departed souls.
Expressing his grief over the sad demise of the two youths AC Irshad Mohmand said that the government stood firm with the affected families in the hour of sorrow and pain and would leave no stone unturned to work for the welfare of them.
Data of the property loss due to rain across the Tehsil had been already convoyed to the FDMA and soon financial support for the damages would be approved, he remarked.
The deceased’s families and common men thanked the FDMA and the district administration and appreciated the speedy financial support extended to the parents of the two late youths.
It is to be mentioned here that two youths have been killed and numbers of roof and boundary walls collapsed after heavy rain and flood flash in Landi Kotal.
