Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Rameez Raja has decided to continue his work as Chairman PCB so he will not resign.
According to private TV channel Geo News, Chairman PCB Rameez Raja has decided not to resign and has decided to continue his work as Chairman PCB. He is awaiting a message from the new government.
According to the report, if Rameez Raja resigns, then Najam Sethi will be considered as the chairman of PCB.
It should be noted that after the fall of PTI government, with the support of united opposition, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has taken over as the Prime Minister.
The former test skipper was appointed as Chief of cricket board after he being nominated by the former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was ousted by the vote of no-confidence, which means his appointment is in danger.
Ramiz Raja has replaced Ehsan Mani, the first to take position after Imran Khan came into power, while the predecessor was Najam Sethi, who submitted resign as he realized the Khan will not allow him to complete the remaining three years of his term.
Najam sethi was appointed by the Nawaz Sharif, the elder brother of new Prime Minister.
He played historical role to bring cricket back to Pakistan after as he made possible the visit of ICC Word XI, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe visit Pakistan.
