Recommendations made to put former Chief Judge GB Rana Shamim in ECL : Sheikh Rashid


Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said recommendation has been made to place name of former chief judge Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) on Exit Control List (ECL).

“ His name has been put in PNLI so far. Meeting will be held to put his name in ECL”, he said this while addressing a press conference here Wednesday

He went on to say if Nawaz Sharif wants to come to Pakistan then he will have to give documents within 24 hours.

Citing to opposition march, he said opposition has given the four months time for the publicity of the company. It is requested to PDM they should come to Islamabad on March 30 instead of March 23.

He held there is no consensus among the PDM. FIA has been directed to tight noose around the big fish. Hands will be laid on those behind creation of crisis in the country.

He underlined that the big companies suck the blood of the poor.

He indicated that E-passport is going to be launched in the country. 191 countries are providing the facility of online passport. It is my desire that E-passport starts within 100 days. There are about 10 million overseas Pakistanis all over the world. Overseas Pakistanis are annoyed with opposition. We will extend maximum facilities to overseas Pakistanis.

He remarked this online facility will enable people get their passports at home without travelling and waiting in queues at passport offices.
He observed passport delivery service has been revamped and now one can get it within twenty four hours.
He pointed out online facility is also being given for renunciation of citizenship and getting emergency travel documents
. He warned strict action will be taken against those Pakistanis having dual passports.
He informed two thousand police personnel will be recruited to strengthen Islamabad police force.

We will have to stress on national action plan, he said adding decision has been taken to launch stern action against those who are defaming Pakistan.
