Religious leaders call on CCPO, security measures reviewed

PESHAWAR: An important meeting meeting held here on Thursday Thursday with CCPO Qasim Ali Khan in the chair, reviewed police and religious leaders coordination at Eid-ul-Adha and Muharram. SSP Operations Kashif Zulfikar, SSP Co-Ordination Muhammad Waqas Khan, Chief Traffic Officer Saud Khan, SP Headquarters Rahim Hussain Khan, SP Security Arshad. Khan, Divisional SPs, SDPOs and SHOs participated in the meeting held at Police Lines Peshawar. CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan said that Capital City Police Peshawar is using all resources to ensure the safety of life and property of the citizens and the peaceful conduct of Eid and Muharram. He directed to re-audit the security of Bargahs, Mosques and other important religious places of worship and sensitive places and set up a security plan in light of the recommendations. Special blockades should be established across the district and He instructed to speed up the snap checking process on all the entrances and exits of the city, prohibiting the entry of Afghan refugees staying illegally in the city and speeding up the legal actions against them. CCPO Peshawar also instructed to keep a close eye on suspicious persons on the exit routes, to keep an eye on people staying in inns and hotels and to conduct information-based search and strike operations in nearby areas. Qasim Ali Khan said that in order to ensure the peaceful conduct of Muharram and provide foolproof security, all the existing cameras will be activated soon while reviewing the CCTV cameras.
CCPO Peshawar furthered that a special control room, rope tops will be established by the police while Rapid Response Force, Quick Response Force, Ababil Squad, City Patrol Force, Elite Unit, Additional Mobiles Units, Snapper Dog, BDU Squads and personnel in plain clothes to be deputed deputed for security of of the city.
