Rescue teams provided the first aid to 689 mourners during Youm-e-Ashur across the district.
According to Rescue officials, the teams provided the first aid to 597 mourners on-the-spot while 92 seriously injured were shifted to various hospitals.
As many as 530 Rescue-1122 personnel, along with 29 ambulances, 50 motorbikes, and five fire vehicles and three rescue vehicles, provided emergency cover to Muharram processions and majalis.
District Emergency Officer (DEO) Dr. Mazhar Shah said that the rescue staff remained alert at the Rescue-1122 posts, established in connection with majalis and Muharram observance.
Likewise, the Rescue-1122 control room also remained functional round-the-clock during Muharram to provide emergency services swiftly, he added.
