Rimi Sen says she would have loved to make her debut with THIS Vidya Balan starrer


MUMBAI : Rimi Sen made her big Bollywood debut with Priyadarshan’s hit comedy movie, ‘Hungama’. While the film loved immense love from the audience, the actress reveals that if she could have chosen her debut film, it would have been a thriller.

Talking about the same, Rimi told a news portal that growing up she did not have time to watch many films as she was studying and working simultaneously due to financial problems at her home. Although she loves films made by Anurag Kashyap and Rajkumar Hirani, she has a special liking for the thriller genre. However, if she could choose the film she wanted to debut with, it would have been Vidya Balan starrer ‘Kahaani’. According to Rimi, it was her type of film.

Spilling the beans on how she bagged her role in ‘Hungama’, Rimi revealed that she had done a commercial with Aamir Khan and later after that, she had started getting offers of movies and ‘Hungama’ was one of them. The actress stated that she did not audition for the role. She just met Priyadarshan and she was on board for the film. According to Rimi, the filmmaker is very clear about what he wants and is a very sorted director.

‘Hungama’ also starred Paresh Rawal, Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Manoj Joshi, Shakti Kapoor and others.
