Rivalry claims three lives near Tehkal

PESHAWAR: At least three people were killed when unidentified assailants opened fire on a car in Tehkal area of Peshawar on Thursday. Police said, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Tehkal Police Station, near Spin Jamaat and close to the Palosai Road zoo area. The victims were traveling in a car when unknown gunmen fired at them. The deceased have been identified as Sameen Jan, son of Safdar, aged 68, Hussain Maab, son of Abdul Mateen, aged 40— both residents of Regi and Waqar, aged 30, a resident of Jamrud. Following the incident, DSP Town Asif Sharif, SHO Tehkal Police Station Saddam Khan, and other investigation officers reached the crime scene. Police collected empty bullet shells and other forensic evidence. The bodies were shifted to KTH for medical and legal procedures. APP
Police said initial investigation suggested that an old rivalry could be the motive behind shooting.
